Swim Trainer FAQ

Practical answers about devices, data, subscriptions, exports, and coach collaboration.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

For detailed swim capture and HealthKit-based review, yes. Swim Trainer is designed around Apple Watch and iPhone for session data. Android availability is supported through Google Play, but wearable integrations depend on the platform features available in the app version you use.

Does it work for pool and open-water swims?

Yes. Pool sessions focus on lengths, sets, strokes, pace, and efficiency. Open-water sessions can use GPS-supported context when available from the wearable and platform.

Can I use it without creating an account?

Basic local use is designed to stay local-first. Account-based features are used for coach collaboration, sharing, and sync workflows.

Can my coach see old workouts?

You control sharing. When linking with a coach, the workflow is explicit so you decide what history is shared and what remains private.

Which metrics does Swim Trainer calculate?

The product focuses on swim-specific and endurance-training metrics such as CSS, SWOLF, stroke rate, TSS-style load, CTL, ATL, and TSB.

Can I export my workouts?

Yes. Swim Trainer supports export-oriented workflows for summaries and review, including formats used by athletes, coaches, and clubs.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the store where you subscribed. Use your App Store or Google Play account settings to review, update, or cancel billing.
